PRODUCT INFORMATION
WHAT ARE LAMINATES MADE OF?
Laminates are made of layers of craft paper soaked in resin and bonded under high heat and pressure. They are durable as they are abrasion- and impact-resistant under normal use.
ARE LAMINATES HARD TO MAINTAIN?
Not at all. artäk laminates are durable, abrasion resistant and impact resistant to regular use. They can be damaged if you chop, slice, or hammer directly on the laminate surface. This includes using sharp objects such as knives or box-cutters on the laminate surface. Take note that you are not encouraged to place hot cookware directly on the laminate surface or expose the laminate to temperatures of 60°C or more for prolonged periods, which may cause the laminate to separate from the substrate. Also, do not flood the laminate or introduce water at joints, which may cause the substrate to expand.
HOW TO TAKE CARE OF MY LAMINATES?
You can use warm water and a non-abrasive cloth to remove most stains. Use a mild household cleaner or detergent if necessary and rinse with water. For stubborn stains, apply a small amount of thinner and gently remove with a non-abrasive cloth before finishing up with a clean damp cloth. Avoid using any cleaning agent containing acid, alkali or sodium hypochlorite, as they may corrode, discolour or ruin the laminate surface.

ARE artäk LAMINATES ENVIRONMENTAL FRIENDLY?
artäk laminates have met the eco standards specified by the Singapore Green Labelling Scheme and are deemed to cause minimal effects to the environment during production. Products carrying the Green label can qualify for Building Construction Authority’s Green Mark programme that assesses buildings and their interiors for their environmental impacts and performances.
